Hello!

As I stated on my homepage, I'm a registered nurse and public health professional based out of Chicago, IL.

I received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Marquette University (‘14) and pursued a Masters of Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago (‘18), where I was enrolled in UIC’s Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health. My capstone project analyzing the implementation of the School Breakfast Program in Illinois was highlighted by the UIC Center of Excellence.

Currently, I am the Research Coordinator at AllianceChicago. AllianceChicago is a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) seeking to improve health outcomes for underserved populations within 45 health centers in 19 states. The AllianceChicago Health Research and Education Team (HRE) bridges the gap between the health centers and research opportunities to bring evidence-based interventions to FQHCs and ensure sustainable and equitable representation in research. As Research Coordinator, I engage in project management for multiple research studies; validate and analyze large patient-level datasets; and improve and expand research processes and external communications for the HRE team.

Beyond my professional experience, I am also an improvisor within the Chicago Improv community. I performed with two house ensemble teams at the Chicago-based iO Theatre and CIC Theatre. My other hobbies include cooking and baking, reading, and telling myself to go to the gym.

Thanks! JWG
